MARIA-FOTEINI’S PHOTO AND STORY IN STRASBOURG FOR CELEBRATING THE INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY DAY!
As the
President of the Cyprus Association of Support for People With Epilepsy and a
valid member of the IBE (International Bureau of Epilepsy) I was invited to
celebrate the International Epilepsy Day in the European Parliament in
Strasbourg, where 800 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) were able to
enjoy the special “Yes I can!” photo exhibition, created from some of the best
entries to a photography competition. VERY PROUD mummy to see Maria-Foteini’s
Poster and Photo among nine others! The exhibition was launched at a reception
on Tuesday 2nd February 2016, creating the opportunity for 800 MEPs from 28
countries, as well as their staff and visitors, parliament staff and press
corps to find out more about epilepsy.
Additionally
we have 37 personal planned meetings with MEPs in order to raise awareness
about epilepsy and increase their interest for the urgent need for improved
treatment and care, and greater investment in research, by giving their
signature and becoming Advocates For Epilepsy
I
personally THANK the Greek and Cypriot MEPs for strongly supporting our effort:
